Welcome to the AMOS RC Website

1/16/2010
First: We intend to move to a new WEB site. Check back at AMOSRC.COM to get the latest update.
Second: We have now completed all the MRF site and Placer County requirements. All fees have been paid and we are in possession of all permits. We could not start constructions because if we did not have the field done by Oct. we then would be required to submit an erosion control plan plus put out straw, etc that was just to expensive. As of May 1 we can construct without the additional expense of erosion control. Our plan is to start construction as close to May 1, 2010 as possible. Bids are now being accepted. If you are a contractor and wish a bid package contact Jerry Dodge .
The next nut to crack is financing the field. As stated earlier, the County requirements are daunting. The required road, ADA pathways, and other conditions means that this field can not be built for less that $60,000! However, when done it will be a great field. At present we have about $20,000. We could borrow the money from a bank, but they required individual members guarantee the loan and then want 8% interest. So the plan is to borrow the money from individuals and pay them the 8%. The money is guaranteed to not be use for any purpose other that building the field as approved by the County. If the AMOS Club fails to raise the necessary money, then all money loaned to the club will be returned to the loaners. What follows is the investment proposal we are making to you, the modelers.

Field Funding Form

I ________________________ agree to loan, at 8% interest, (compounded annually), _________________________ dollars to the AMOS Club, for the purpose of building the new facility on the MRF Property leased by the AMOS Club.

The loaned money to be used solely for the construction of the new site. The AMOS Club agrees, by accepting this loan from me, that they will use the money for no other purpose than completing the field in accordance with the approved construction plans for the field.

No money can be spent until sufficient funds are available to complete the field, ($60,000). If the AMOS Club fails to construct the field, all money loaned by me to the club must be returned to me. With the construction of the field, interest will accrue from the date of the loan. The loan must be repaid within three years from completion of the field.

Conclusion

If you are interested in a field that is open 7 days a week for any type airplane, helicopter or car. This is the field for you.
